Bluetooth Parrot - Fixed. Footwell lights - Fixed

So - due to the Bluetooth Parrot not working in the car I went searching to find the "brain" in doing so I took out the glove box and during that process discovered what I now know to be footwell light holder on the passenger side - quick bit of google'ing - also discovered there shoud be one on the drivers side but apparently well hidden and difficult to get to (it was) so on the way home last night i got two HBU 501 bulbs - fitted the passenger one before I even left the shop car park :o)

Passengers side - 30 second job

Hmm - what's this for?
Plugged in just behind the glove box
let there be light

looks pretty nice in the dusk :o)
So the drivers side - after a bit of a hunt I found it near the centre consol to the left of the clutch pedal (I have a right hand drive car) tooked up and seems to be attached to the plastic air vents - tried to fit it sitting in the car - resorted to lying under steering wheel and various methods including pliers and tissue paper enused - in the end I did just use my fat fingers. A real pain.

Drivers side - 30 minutes job!!!

Just see the grey holder - attached to plastic vents

My thumb is pushing it forward slightly

A selfie - that's me under the steering wheel! lol
And with bulb inserted

let there be light

kinda like this and glad I took the time

Parrot Bluetooth

When I got the car the display was not working at all - after opening it up I found that the conncetor wasn't connected - so plugged that in and up came the screen. I tried to pair my phone and although it did pair it said "memory full" and wouldn't keep the connection. After a quick search on the internet I found this "Parrot Help Forum" this stated that

Can you check that the CK3100 displays a ‘Goodbye’ message on the screen when you turn the ignition off?
If this is not displayed the RED and ORANGE wires to the kit need to swapped at the fuse holders. The RED cable needs to be connected to a constant 12 volt supply and the ORANGE wire needs to be connected to the switched 12 volt supply (Ignition ON/OFF). Before swapping leave both the wires disconnected for 5 minutes.
If ‘Goodbye’ has not been displayed the kit has never been allowed to switch on or off correctly and over time this will cause a fake ‘Memory full’ message to develop with time. As soon as the unit is reset and the wiring is corrected as detailed above this will resolve the problem.

So after not finding the "brain" of the parrot behind the glovebox I went looking behind the CD player - well it wasn't behind it - exaclty - tooked up at the side - not really sure how or why its there ...

oh - there you are!

Hidy - Boo!
At least I can get to the fuse connectors
and we have a connection and sync!

phew - now I don't have to pair it on every journey

The magic "goodbye" message which means the wires are the correct way.
